Joy was a pioneer in the field of conservation and With her husband George, senior game warden for Kenya’s untamed Northern Province, she established one of the world’s first wild animal appeals which, in 1963 became the Elsa Conservation Trust

Today the Elsa Conservation Trust is based in Gloucestershire and continues its lifelong commitment to wildlife conservation.  By operating a wildlife retreat and an education centre at the Adamson’s former home at Elsamere on the shores of Lake Naivasha in Kenya’s Rift Valley, the Adamson’s legacy lives on.

Tessa joined the John Stillman Quintet for a night of 1920′s swing for the Bently Drivers Club meeting in the Cotswolds.

With a sea of vintage cars, classic dress and ‘The Charlston’ on the play list a fun night of nostalgia was enjoyed by members of the club from all over the country.

An eclectic mix of repertoire, all the music was concerned with a child’s vivid imagination, ranging from mysterious tales of the unexplained to dreams of heaven and the afterlife.

Performing alongside the orchestra of local professional and amateur musicians were dancers and singers from various schools in Worcestershire.

The music included Elgar’s Dream Children, Mahler’s Symphony No 4 (with inspiring young soloist Penelope May), Mussorgsky’s Pictures At An Exhibition, and All God’s Creatures by Howard Blake (composer of The Snowman).  This piece was well received, and we were very privileged to have the composer himself in the audience

Cheltenham Town Hall

Some of the the county’s finest jazz musicians played with The Cotswold Big Band at Leckhampton Court in Cheltenham which provided a lively atmosphere within this stunning medieval estate.

Sue Ryder – Leckhampton Court Hospice supports people with cancer and other potentially life limiting conditions.

The aim of the hospice is to meet the needs of the whole person, their family and carers, with the support and expertise of their multi-professional specialist palliative care team.

The Something Blue Duo entertained 20 dinner guests with a wide selection of favorites. during dinner.

Elly and Tessa played at a 50th birthday party in the beautiful village of Steeple Ashton in Wiltshire.

They delighted guests in the garden as they made their way to the marquee for dinner.

Pitville Pump Rooms is one of the most famous Cheltenham landmarks and is the last remaining fresh-water spring that helped turn Cheltenham into one of the leading spa towns in the 18th Century.

Weddings at the Pump Rooms are always magical and the The Something Blue Duo were asked to add to the magic with their carefully selected live music for weddings repertoire.

Playing before, during and after the ceremony as well as during photographs the 90 guests were treated to a wire range of both classical and popular tunes.

The bride commented ”Many thanks it helped to make our day very special”

Eastnor Castle situated at the southern-end of the Malvern Hills near Ledbury is a truly spectacular location for corporate events.

The Something Blue Duo played live music at an exclusive dinner for 14 guests.

The Something Blue Duo were asked to play classical flute and piano whilst guests arrived and photos were taken, then again after the ceremony.
